About US
Natural hair or kinky textured curly hair women care about the health of their hair. There’s a reason there are so many natural hair care products out there and more are coming out all the time. Women with these hair types are always looking for ways to maintain their beautiful hair texture as well as look for easy and convenient ways style our hair.
One of those natural hair alternative styles is to wear wigs. I do it all the time while I am traveling for work and I typically wear glueless or headband wigs since I am extremely protective of my natural hair line and want to protect my edges. Having to secure a wig with glue scares me. When wearing wigs, I found I was wearing my wigs 10-12 hours and covering my hair with a thin stretchy nylon wig cap. If satin or silk is recommended to use to protect our hair when we are sleeping, why are we not wearing those fabrics under our wigs as a protective layer? Have you ever thought why it is okay to wear nylon on your head rather than wearing a moisture retaining fabric like silk or satin?
I am a natural hair girl that simply had a need and didn’t see a solution to it on the market so I decided to create the solution myself. I figured if I wanted something like this other women would too. We believe that hair care is natural and essential to our wellbeing. Short, long, kinky or straight our hair impacts our day to day lives. At the end of the day your hair health is important and my desire to keep healthy maintained hair is my priority, regardless if I wear my own hair or not. You shouldn’t have to choose between healthy hair care natural or a great hairstyle whether you’re wearing a protective style or not. As the founder of the best wig cap made of bamboo (that is 94% bamboo 😊), I had always been taught to use satin or silk (one of the top natural hair care tips) on my head due to the moisture retention properties and ability to decrease friction on my hair. Once I started my natural hair journey, I wanted to find a way to protect my hair from frequent manipulation all while assimilating in the corporate world with my gorgeous kinky curly textured hair. I started wearing wigs when I traveled to allow me to have “predictable” hair while out of town, all while caring from my natural textured hair. I would wear traditional nylon wig caps for up to 14 hours a day, which led me to my concern about the type of fabric I was using as a protective layer between my hair and my wig. That’s when I started looking for a satin lined-cap or wig cap and found an untapped market! I love this stretchy fitted cap since it is versatile and can be worn 24 hours a day. You can put your natural hair in a protective style and wear the satin wig liner as a fitted satin bonnet (without all the extra fabric) to bed, wake up get yourself together and wear under a hat or slip a wig over your head and get on with your day. Can you do that with your nylon wig cap that you get from the beauty supply store? Ask yourself do you feel that nylon is the best fabric to have on your hair for hours at a time? My answer to both is no and I have a solution for you the best wig cap that is more fitted for versatility for your life!
